Neroli Information

 

Another essential oil from the citrus family. This oil is extracted by steam distillation of flowers of the Orange Blossom. The chief components of this essential oil are Alpha Pinene, Alpha Terpinene, Beta Pinene, Camphene, Farnesol, Geraniol, Indole Nerol, Linalool, Linalyl Acetate, Methyl Anthranilate, Nerolidol and Neryl Acetate.

Medicinal properties of Neroli:

 

Antibacterial: kills or inhibits bacteria.

 

Antidepressant: Drives away depression, invokes feelings of joy and happiness, and uplifts mood.

 

Antiseptic: a substance that inhibits the growth and reproduction of microorganisms.

 

Antispasmodic: referring to something that suppresses spasms.

 

Aphrodisiac: Promote arousal and increases libido; decreases frigidity, impotence, and erectile dysfunctions.

 

Carminative: relieves discomfort of gas in the digestive tract.

 

Cicatrizant: a healing agent.

 

Cytophylactic: Promotes generation of new cells and health of those already present.

 

Digestive: relating to the digestive tract; having the ability to promote digestion.

 

Disinfectant: a substance that kills germs and/or viruses.

 

Deodorant: Drives away odor. Can be used on body as perfume or in rooms as room fresheners.
